  • Valves are essential components in engineering and manufacturing industries. They control the flow of fluids such as water, gas, and oil by opening, closing, or partially obstructing the passage of fluid. Valves come in different shapes and sizes, and each has a specific function. 

Types Of Valves:

1). Gate Valve: (Valves types)

10). Control Valve: (Valve types)

  • For an automated process control system, it is essential. It may be applied to regulate pressure, temperature, flow rate, level, and other variables. The criteria, process circumstances, and control valve operating mechanism all play a role in the selection process. It may be powered or manipulated manually.
  • Actuator and body are a control valve's major components. The actuator receives signals from the process and adjusts the valve's opening or closing accordingly. Control valves come in diaphragm or butterfly designs, as well as single or double plug balanced globe types. A valve with a single plug provides superior sealing. The most often used types are spring actuators and pneumatic diaphragms.
  • A control valve may be utilized for pressures up to 4000 kg/cm2 and temperatures between 250°C and 800°C. Its sizes range from 3 mm to 500 mm. Cast iron, carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel alloys, caste alloy, and even plastic can be used to make a control valve.
